People: Dave Charlesworth

Dave Charlesworth is a full time artist, an occasional writer, a some time curator, a self indulgent performer and a time waster.

Dave Charlesworth He gained a BA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths in 2004 and has demonstrated his institutionalised comfort by opting to complete his Master Fine Art this year, also at Goldsmiths. He is the deputy director of The Woodmill and as part of this he has been responsible for the delivery of 70 plus to quality affordable studios to up to 80 artists in London, supporting the delivery of a high quality education and exhibition programme. He has worked for 5 years as part of Charlesworth, Lewandowski & Mann, showing nationally and internationally, recently completing sound works at David Roberts Art Foundation and at Tate Britain as part of "Shards of Utopia" at "Late at Tate". Dave also has a small section of his resume dedicated to delivering high quality events, growing up on a diet of garage punk in Huddersfield he put on a number of gigs in Leeds/ Wakefield/ Huddersfield in his youth and in the past year he has managed a number of sold out nights at Ministry of Sound and Koko in London for the University of the Arts Students' Union.
